It Takes A Village

This was a fun story to work on for the American Homebrewers Association. My mission was to brew a beer using the most local ingredients possible — not an easy task when barley and hops are not native to the South. I ended up with a tasty beer but not before failing spectacularly at catching wild yeast. It gave me a new appreciation for brewers who made drinkable beer for hundreds of years before fermentation was discovered.
